Kennamer Elected VP of Authors' Group
Kennamer Media Group, Inc. president and CEO Mike Kennamer recently became Vice
President/President Elect of the Text and Academic Authors Association. Kennamer, who has served for the past two years as secretary of the 3,000 member organization, was elected to the post in March and started serving a two-year term as vice president on July 1. He will serve as VP for two years and transition into the role of president, pending approval from the organization's council.
The Text and Academic Authors Association (TAA) provides professional development resources, industry news, and networking opportunities for textbook authors and authors of scholarly journal articles and books. Established in 1987 by math author Mike Keedy, TAA is the only national, nonprofit membership association dedicated solely to assisting textbook and academic authors.
Kennamer has been an active member of TAA since 2011, having served as chair of the Membership Committee and as a presenter at the annual conference. Commensurate with his duties as vice president, he now serves as chair of the Conference Committee and the Governance Committee.
Kennamer is the author of Basic Infection Control for Healthcare Providers, Math for Health Care Professionals, and Intravenous Therapy for Prehospital Providers, along with more than 50 other publications ranging from instructor resources, video series, and academic journal articles.
